This forum page is for you to suggest data sets you wish were available, data you need for your work, for app development or research. Please post project ideas for the data also, and if you know of the data someone else has listed being available somewhere please post the link and also publish it to http://data.openoakland.org. We’re looking for data at the city and county level too!

What data do you want, need, have for publishing?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. GIS Maps that show air quality, air pollution, and community demographics.

    I work for a non-profit that is trying to secure funding for school programs centered around air quality and climate change. One of the things we need to convince potential funders of is that the areas with the worst air are also the areas where communities of color are centered.

  3. Building permits- we need to see who is developing and receveloping property

    We need access to information on the building permits for new construction and major renovations. This will help in planning efforts and new business investment decisions.
